"My family and I recently ate at The Kettle Black and we were very disappointed. The waitress' uniform was filthy and she was disinterested after we did not order any alcoholic beverages. The wings were cold, over cooked and over sauced. Disgusting. The burgers were mediocre, fries inedible and we had to wait 45 minutes between appetizers and entrees. The Kettle Black is not a restaurant, but a college bar hangout serving bad bar food. It's unfortunate that the owners chose such and establishment for a family oriented neighborhood. I think they could of chosen a different type of restaurant that could've enhanced this great neighborhood. I do not plan on returning to The Kettle Black."

"Heard this place had the best wings, rated the top 5? I'm not sure who is doing the ratings, but these wings weren't good at all. They were a little chewy, not crispy at all, and totally over sauced! The buffalo wings looked as though someone accidentally dumped a container of sauce on the dish. Completely over sauced which made it difficult to eat. The Thai chili sauce was good, but would've been better if the wings were cooked a little more to make them more crispy than chewy. Only came in for the wings based on hearing they supposedly had the best. Will not return to try anything else, since their claim for best wings was far from it. Any of the other restaurants around them make far bettter wings."

"Great space, little drafty when it's cold out. Wings were great, as good as the Bay Ridge fare. Perfectly crispy, chewy, with he right amount of sauce. Their pulled pork cheese fries special was also amazing. Good beer selection as well. Can't wait to go back, been a longtime fan of Kettle Black!"

"My first experience here a few months ago was horrible, but I decided to give The Kettle Black another try. What a bad idea! We waited a very long time for our food to come. The entrees and appetizers came to the table at the same time. The staff didn’t seem to think this was odd. I had to send my burger back because it was completely raw in the center. The restaurant should focus more on their food and service. I will not be back to this restaurant. There are much better options in this neighborhood."
