"After reading some of the earlier reviews I'm not sure if people are commenting under the wrong restaurant or if it's under new ownership, but I have never had a problem here. The food is always fresh and delicious. Everything is prepared so delicately and so much detail and intricate work is put into everything served. The staff is always extremely nice and accommodating. I eat here about once a month because it is a little pricey, but the quality of the food is worth it. Never had anything bad here and I try something new every time I go. I strongly recommend the OMG roll and the Vietnamese roll. The spicy tuna salad and shrimp shumai are delicious as well!"

"My family eat at Takayama at least twice a month. Always great experience. Staff very friendly and highly professional. Food exceptional and fresh.I would personally recommend ,, soft shell crab ,, and ,, tiger tail ,,, also ,,mushroom cappuccino soup,,

"I eat here at least twice a month. The food here is absolutely delicious and fresh! The specialty rolls are to die for. Food presentation is beautiful. I've never experienced a problem with the service."

"Elegantly beautiful decor with great music and happening bar. The food is the real gem here. The sushi is absolutely the best quality and FRESH.. the different textures and flavors that comprise their inventive rolls are just an amazing explosion in your mouth. The pumpkin soup with seared scallop was delicious. The fried oreo cookie dessert was amazing as well. The drinks needed some help, but to hell with drinks if I can have this outstanding food.."

"Terrible..Been there three times with my wife and every time the food and the management were terrible.They brought the sushi out on a dirty plate..The sushi grade is awful and my friend's wife got food poisoning!I will never go to this place again!The owner came over to me to apologize for the dirty plate which was nice,,but the problem is he was drunk and slurring his words..It was like a bad movie scene..
My advice go to any place on the island before this place!!"
