"Sally and Georges is one of the few restaurants that I've been to that serve the best fine middle eastern cuisine. The restaurant has been reviewed by the New York Press as "Best Lebanese Restaurant". And a food critic for the Daily News said in a review article for this restaurant "As of yet none other has served food quite so fresh and prepared with such know how and finesse." I agree with this critiques sentiments because some of the dishes that I've tried that are really good include Sally's special salad that is made fresh mixed vegetables, house dressing topped with feta cheese and black olives. One of the exquisite vegetarian dishes include Hoummus which is mashed chickpeas in tahini sauce with lemon and garlic. Another good dish is Bastourma made of slices of cured, dried beef with marinated seasoning. Also kibbee balls made of a mixture of ground lamb meat with Burghul. I also like the char broiled dishes for example the shish tawook which is made of boneless chicken marinated. Best seafood is Sultan Ibrahim red mullet fried. I also really enjoyed the freshly made good tasting chicken soup."
