"I had just finished a great meal at Mar Mar. I was born in Israel..so I'm familiar with Middle Eastern cuisine. My grandmother came from Syria so the flavors were familiar and auauthentic The olives, and pickles were great and definitely middle eastern tasting. We ordered the Kibeh for an appetizer and it was great. The meat filling and pine nuts were very tasty. I ordered the fish, branzino, which was delicious and the rice side dish has chopped almonds and parsley and tasted very nice. For dessert we ordered Kenafeh, a warm dessert with cheese filling and rose water. Wow!! a great dinner, great price and the service was impeccable with a smile. We got wine from a store on the opposite side of Forest Ave.. Recommended!!!"
