"Indian Oven is lil gem of Indian Restaurant in SI. We loved both there veg & non-veg offerings, Specially Chicken Malai Kabab, Egg Masala & Beans Poriyal are our favorite. Staff is very friendly & they will customize food according to your taste buds."

"Ordered take out last night. My favorite Indian restaurant on the Island is Taste of India in New Dorp, but it is such a long drive from my home on the North Shore. I was hoping this restaurant would be a great option for me much closer to home. It is. Their food was really good. I wish they had more Naan choices. I also wish they'd give you the dipping sauces for the Naans. All in all, my experience with take out was great. I had the Chicken Korma which was very creamy. I didn't specify a spice level, so they made it mild. I still give Taste of India the top slot for Indian on SI, but this place is a great North Shore option."

"Tasty food, Decent decor with a warm feeling. We had their special weekend buffet which had a wide range of items. For a reasonable price. An Indian restaurant was missing in this part of Staten Island, This restaurant completes that void. The food is not spicy like other indian restaurants in Staten island and the taste was good."

"Some of the best Samosas I have ever had. Food was well seasoned and not overpowering. We had Chicken Tikka Masala and Pappdums with Garlic Naan, all was great. Uner 35 dollars. They made everything to taste. I hope this place does well. Glass door was locked so we entered white door entrance. Place is opened so don't be discouraged. Probably best Indian food on the island thus far."

"Excellent South Indian lunch weekend buffet. Now, I love indian food but I'm generally not a fan of indian lunch buffets. The tired old vats of chicken tikka, paneer, some sea of vegetables drowning in an unappetizing green sauce...no thanks. The Indian Oven buffet has completely turned me around. First of all, it's south indian cuisine, and as my wife and I will now say we're both south indian, it's AUTHENTIC. I'm talking this is the stuff momma used to make. And the buffet is a collection of greatest hits. The selection was incredible. The Chicken 65 appetizer was crisp and flavorful. My wife was a fan of the vada but lamented that there was no "green chutney" to dip it in, though I'm sure if we told the staff they would've provided some. These are some of the things I can remember offhand - soft, buttery parathas, rich, moist, and delicious butter chicken, succulent mutton curry which could've used more mutton, but the meat and curry were excellent, duck roast which you NEVER see at a buffet, and it was REALLY good, chili chicken, fried fish, kappa mashed cassava and fish curry super spicy!, egg roast, kerala style rice, chicken biryani biryani included in a buffet!, fried potatoes, pepper chicken, SIX different vegetable dishes, including dal, yellow and white mooru, sambar, papadum, two types of paisam.... and there were more dishes that I'm forgetting! Totally worth the $12.95. Everything tasted fresh and spice levels were not diluted to please the masses. We also had a very attentive server. Sure, we were 2 of 4 diners at the time but I've learned not to take service for granted at Indian restaurants Everyone was very nice and we look forward to coming back. There's also a full bar in front and Kingfisher beer available. Street parking right around the corner. The small lot in the rear is not open to the public."

"This was the worst experience. They say delivery but when you call they say only on orders 30 dollars or more. I'm sorry but you will definitely lose over 50 percent of your sales and customers. I ordered vindaloo... bland tasteless and where is the meat?? It's pricey and they sent burnt nan this is in restaurant 101 never ever send bad food to first time customers. The positive reviews are definitely family members because this is the worst experience of my life."
