"So we were looking for a place to celebrate New Years Eve and thought this would be a good time to try out Grotto. Being that it's relatively new, most of my friends have not eaten there yet but all were willing to give it a try. The New Years Eve menu was great with an appetizer, pasta, main entree and desert. we all had a drink at the beautiful bar before sitting down for dinner. Jeff serves up a great margarita that my wife loved and I had a nice cold seasonal beer. Once seated in one of the large "grotto's", I ordered the octopus carpaccio for my appetizer, it was super good, better than I expected Could have eaten four of these!. I had the tortellini bolognese for my pasta, again a hit. The chef makes a really good authentic Italian meat sauce. I had the filet mignon for my entree and was completely satisfied. The piece I was served was a nice size, cooked perfectly and delicious. The blue potatoes on the side were also excellent and very creative. For desert we tried the pineapple ravioli and brownie with some sherbet on the side, all did a nice job topping off our meal. Our server Chrissie was super friendly and very accommodating, we all had a great time. There was a nice crowd at the bar for the ball drop and we all felt like friends that hadn't seen each other in years! Overall a really nice experience, looking forward to taking my Mom here as she loves authentic and creative Italian food."
