"This used to be the old Mcginns and what a difference from that old place. They have renovated the whole building, new bar, new dinning room, great food, live entertainment on the weekends. I have been there a few times and absolutely love it. It's also right down the block from my house so it a home run for me. The food is better than your typical bar food, the irish nachos are to die for along with the pulled pork egg rolls. This place is a gem in the middle of Great Kills so if your looking for a great place to eat or just hang out this is the hot spot!"

"My spouse and I stopped in here one Friday night after shopping. It was too late to cook, so we wanted to grab a quick little bite. The bartender was warm, friendly and accomodating. He seems to have been around the business for some time. We ordered cheese steak sliders @ $10 and a Margherita bar pie @ $7. The sliders came as an order of 3, and were all bread with 'maybe' a tablespoon of meat in each. A disgrace since you're technically paying $3+ a piece! The bar pie was jar sauce on a big crunchy round cracker. Celeste frozen pizza would have been a step up. Gross. We ordered 2 Heinekens, 2 drinks, 2 shots, Jameson was $8 a shot!! and 2 crappy appetizers. Our bill was $65!!! Never going back as not only the food was gross, but everything was severely over priced for a local tavern"

"We had a very bad experience about 2 years ago at Flanagans and it was for St Patty's, Corned Beef Special. How could an Irish restaurant make a signature dish so horrible - that we haven't entered or ordered take out from here for this amount of time. Until Yesterday, we tried it for the first time in this length and were extremely happy with food this time around. The wings were very good, not the breaded wing dings many restaurants use, they were full of meat, cooked just right and delicious sauce as well. Burgers, the selection they have with options make it very good. Guacamole Fresh, Salsa very tasty and the homemade potato chips that come with it were as tasty as well. We'll be back to Flanagan's again."
