"I went there the other night and the food was delicious. One little suggestion It would be best to serve mixed vegetables instead of what looked like grits with the pork and meatball dinner. You want people to come back, and that dinner would not bring me back."

"Went to Capizzi the other night. Loved the Decor , the food was good but miss Labellas Menu ! The Sweet and Spicy Calamari - GONE !! Every single thing that we loved on the Labellas menu is Gone !!! The Luna Salad was also a Favorite of ours. As well as all those Pasta Dishes. Food was a bit Salty . my wife and I both had Headaches and were dying of Thirst when we came home . The Calamari was delicious but for 14.95 we expected a lot more than what we got !! Also 2 glasses of Sangria at the Bar was 19.00! The Pizza was also Deliscious! We got an Artichoke Pizza the was 20.00 which was fine till it came to the Table and it was a Personal size !! A 12" pizza for 20.00 !!!!!!! Apparently they brought over the Manhattan Prices with them !! We got 2 appetizers and 4 personal pies and 2 sodas The Sangria was separate ,we paid at the Bar There was 4 of us . Myself, my wife and 2 Daughters . The Bill was 97.00 !!!! A bit pricey if you ask me . I wish them luck. We were Regulars at Labellas goin there about 3 times a month since they opened and with all the other Competition we won't be back until they incorporate the Labellas Menue and reduce the Manhattan Prices . But like I said the Food was good !"

"Went on a rainy tuesday night.Once I stepped in the restaurant my mood suddenly changed because of the great atmosphere and friendly staff. I ordered the fried calamari which was very crispy and the parmeggiano reggiano dish with the different ages of cheese, which the waiters explained at the table. My wife ordered the creamy artichoke pie , and i had the meatballs and ribbs with the polenta as an entree. The meatballs were very savory. The only thing i regret is not trying their fresh homemade pasta. That's going on my list for next time. Will be definitely going back"

"This was my third time back and all I can say is wow. The renovation was done to the nines. My wife and daughter were in awe of all the old relics from the 50s and 60s. The menu reminds me of Sundays at grandmas house in Brooklyn and brings back memories with the family. We live in Jersey now but come here because the pizza is out of this world and you cant get a pie out there like in NY. We ordered the prosciutto arugula pie and the three of us shared the antipasto for two. Its pricey but worth it. For dessert we had delicious chocolate ravioli and my wife ordered an espresso martini which she said reminded her of the drinks she gets in the city which is hard to come by in Staten Island. They got an A class staff that knows what they're doing and the owner Joe is a gentlemen. He introduced himself to us from the very first night and made us feel at home. Cant wait to go back. Just make sure you valet park as the lot is tight."

"Decor is okay, nothing to rave about. Food was okay, nothing that compares to Grandma's. Wait staff, that is another story, took almost an hour for our pizza to arrive. Could have ordered from across the street and would have had it faster. Owner is nice, but wait staff - not so much. Salad's, too many goat cheese or fruit salad's - what is an Italian restaurant without a Caesar salad? Well, this place took it off the menu. Really? Why.. Came, saw - will not go back..."

"I do not write many reviews but feel the need to do so. We had an early Friday evening dinner. This was our first experience eating at Capizzi's. From the moment we walked in we were treated by the entire staff with the utmost hospitality. Our waiter was professional, made recommendations and was very attentive. What set this restaurant apart from others is when the chef Florantino came to our table after the meal to introduce himself. He wanted to know our thoughts and expressed his appreciation for our business. The food from appetizers to dessert were fresh, homemade and absolutely delicious. As a former Staten lslander I would tell all to go in and you will not be disappointed. Capizzi's is a gem."

"Had dinner there a few times, they did a wonderful job decorating and the staff is very friendly. The food is OK, service is very very slow and a limited menu for an Italian Restaurant. The negative is it so very loud in there that you cannot even have a conversation with each other at your table. The table behind us was touching our chairs and so loud that we could not even converse with each other without yelling over them and the background music made it even worse. Will not be back anytime soon."

"What a horrible experience, first me my grand daughter and my daughter almost got ran over by their valet parker. As we go inside to wait to be seated a waiter is right in front of us and doesn’t even acknowledge us fifteen minutes later with no one else in front of us we get seated... then finally got to order, now 40 minutes later and the order was wrong. Complete nightmare never again!!!"

"Went for dinner we had a 25min wait. Sat there In the waiting area for half an hour. We finally got seated in the back of the restaurant where the tables were empty. Other people waiting came in ten minutes after us these tables had not been occupied and they made us wait! HOW RUDE there was a party going on and the noise was terrible. The help hasn't got a clue on service. I had to shout out my order . The food was not as good as it was described, it took a long time to get it most of the items in the menu on line were not on the menus in house we had to settle with something else. I do not like to eat under those conditions, too noisey The music was so loud it made the other diners yell to each other. Should call it the stadium without any sports action!"

"a fine restaurant which charges 12 dollars for a simple drink should not be charging an additional 4% for credit card fees. Work out a better rate from you card company there are processors that charge the business 1.5 percent and eat the cost for conveniencing your customers... a local pizza that charges tax when paying with cc is fine, but an airline ticket should not endure a tax when laying with card. The cost for dinner here is an airline ticket. You should know your customers are not bringing 400 dollars in cash for a dinner for 5people ..."

"so I used to love coming here but ever since they changed owners their portion sizes are pretty much half the size of what they used to be. also, their pasta doesn't seem to be made fresh anymore. I have a pasta maker at home I know the difference almost immediately between boxed and fresh. their appetizers are still good though."
