Improving Accuracy: Introducing Our Complaints & Updates Section

At WhereYouEat.com, our goal has always been simple: help people discover real local restaurants with clear menus, accurate information, and useful details that make choosing where to eat easier.

As a growing local dining guide with thousands of listings, we know that menus, hours, ownership, and specials change frequently. That’s why we recently introduced a dedicated Complaints & Updates section— designed to make it easier for users and restaurants to report issues and request corrections.

Why We Created a Complaints & Updates Section

Running a hands-on, traditional dining guide means staying current. Restaurants update menus, adjust pricing, change hours, host events, and sometimes open, close, or rebrand.

Rather than letting outdated information linger, we wanted a clear, central place where issues can be reported and addressed efficiently. The Complaints & Updates section allows us to:

  • Fix outdated menus and pricing
  • Correct incorrect hours or contact information
  • Add missing restaurants
  • Update ownership or branding changes
  • Resolve listing issues reported by users or restaurant owners

Focused on Updates, Not Negativity

Despite the name, the Complaints section is not about negativity or reviews. It exists to support accuracy and maintenance. Most submissions we receive are simple update requests— menu changes, holiday hours, or newly opened restaurants.

By providing a clear path for feedback, we can keep the guide useful for everyone who relies on it to discover where to eat.

How Updates Are Handled

When a request is submitted, our team reviews the information and works to apply the correction as quickly as possible. Most updates are reviewed within 48 hours.

Helpful submissions typically include:

  • The restaurant name and address
  • A brief description of what needs updating
  • A menu link or photo (if available)

This process allows us to keep listings accurate while maintaining the hands-on approach we’ve followed since launching WhereYouEat.com.

Supporting Both Diners and Restaurants

For diners, accurate menus and details make it easier to decide where to eat. For restaurants, up-to-date listings help ensure customers see the most current information when browsing.

The Complaints & Updates section supports both sides by giving everyone a simple way to flag issues and keep the guide current.

A Continued Commitment to Local Discovery

Since 2008, WhereYouEat.com has focused on building a local dining guide centered on menus, photos, specials, and discovery—separate from the noise of third-party apps and social platforms.

As we continue expanding coverage and adding new listings, this section helps us maintain the quality and accuracy users expect.

Need to report an update or have an issue to resolve? Visit our Complaints & Updates page and we’ll be happy to help.

Thank you for helping us keep WhereYouEat.com accurate, useful, and focused on discovering great local restaurants.
