"This is a Diner in a strip mall. We ordered eggs because $15.99 for a hamburger or a panini is ridiculous! The toast was brought out about 7 minutes before the eggs, otherwise the food was decent. There were 3 tables in use and service was "sad" to be kind. This is a Diner and should have Lunchoenette prices, otherwise, it should be called a restaurant. I can't understand why someone would open a Diner in the former Waldbaums shopping plaza and price their menu as if they were in Manhattan."

"Came here on a Saturday night in early February. There were only 4 other customers here at 8PM, amazingly, it still took the waitress 10 minutes to bring us a menu. There was a guy at the front counter, a manager I would guess, but he was to busy playing with his phone to be bothered with the dining room. I think the best indication for a diner, is the burger. With that in mind I ordered the plain LTO burger for $11.99. Mostly because I was not going to spend $15.00 or more for any simple toppings like mushroom or bacon. I ordered the burger medium rare, It arrived in a reasonable amount of time, I immediately noticed that the burger was prepared on a flattop, since it had a burnt crust on both sides. The roll was some kind of kiser roll, not exactly fresh, and the fries were more greasy than crisp. The burger itself was overdone, more medium well than medium rare. It was not terrible, but there is no way that this is an 8oz burger. I have gotten burgers, twice the size of this one in most of the local diners, in Woodrow, Annadale and Great kills, that were jucy and tasty for at least 30% less. The prices here are crazy. I sure didn't get the quality I was hoping for. It's really a shame, there's plenty of parking, and it's a nice space. If they get there act together, and provide quality food at a competitive price point they may do well. I'll give them another try in a month or two if there still around"

"My girlfriend and I stumbled upon this place after searching this website. The food was very fresh and the portions were large we both had salads. Overall we were very satisfied with the service plus the food and we do intend on going back. The only criticism I may have is the some of the pricing for their items is a little high for a diner when compared to other in the area. On the plus side I do have family members that are gluten free and I did mention to them that this place also offers gluten free pasta as well"

"We went for lunch and the prices were WAY too high for a Staten Island Diner - I would not mind paying if it was worth the price.... Don't waste your money - go to a regular old fashioned diner where at least you get a good amount of food. INSANE PRICES!"

"I normally wait for a new place to.get there act together before I check a place out. My friends told how good it was so I gave it a shot. It was a little crowed and I had to.wait 15 min. The staff was great, the food was promt, fast and very good. I think..this will become my new favorite place"

"I see that after being opened for six months and getting reviews that highlight over priced, sub-par food, with poor service, they've decided to tackle the problem by hanging out a sign that says "Grand Opening" Yeah.. Problem solved."

"Pretty sure all the 5 star reviews are posted by the owners and their friends. The place is always empty, Really no way anyone had to wait for a table before posting his 5 star review. Here's a thought, rather than posting bogus 5 star reviews, maybe the owners should look at the unbiased opinions of customers who may never come back, make some positive changes and build a sucessful business with loyal customers. Maybe they should call Gordon Ramsey in before it's to late. This place could be great with a few changes"

"Really unbiased opinion here and I am not at all related to the restaurant or the owner... Atmosphere is very comfortable fortunately for us, but unfortunately for the restaurant because it's not overwhelmingly busy. But we prefer this lose comfort over a packed out house which is overwhelming uncomfortable. Food is creative, unique and from what we tasted really good. while we hope the restaurant does well we also hope it remains not overhyped such as a it becomes soooo busy that no one goes there anymore.... Comfortable diner, decent decent prices and great promotions , don't overhype and slowly customers will become loyal and we as well will be back on a Regular basis."

"The Diner definitely had it's ups and downs for the past year or so it has been trying to "open", the concept of the menu has always been something we were looking for. It is definitely not a "Staten Island Diner", it is on the verge of being a Diners, Drive In and Dive's type of spot. The creativity of the menu from desserts to burgers to entree's and the flavor of the food surpases the few dollars you pay more for a burger here than at diners a few miles away. Back to the ups"

"We have been here twice so far and food was really good. The mac and cheese bites are delicious. And the burgers are really good. Tried the mushroom burger twice and both times i enjoyed it. Nice atmosphere and decorated well. Both waiters we had were great. Really nice and attentive. Very quick. Btw i am not related in any way...since it has been stated before that if you gave a good rating...your were biase. Look forward to trying other items on menu. Hope they do well."

"Tried to order from here twice the first time I got my food and the bacon was not cooked and waited forever for my food. The second time I tried ordering I got a code to save a certain percent on my order and when I tried calling they told me they had no idea about it. I ordered anyway and when I got my food it was not as good as I would have hoped . I was really Hoping this place would be good being that I live so close but I will not be going back :/"

"Now out of business Phone disconnected, doors locked. It would appear that a place that had great potential when opened, decided to continue promoting overly high prices for the area coupled with service issues. With a few simple changes this could have been a great spot for breakfast lunch and dinner. Good area, plenty of parking, lots of foot traffic in the shopping center. A good alternative to Wendy's and subway. Restaurant reviews should be used by the business to make improvements and build a loyal customer base. The reviews should NOT be used by the restaurant as a free medium to promote "amazing food and service" while ignoring the real reviews that highlite issues that can be fixed."
