Z-One Restaurant and Lounge on Richmond Avenue has officially closed after close to twenty years in business. The well-known establishment served Staten Island residents with a mix of diner classics and bar offerings.

Z-One built its reputation by offering a broad menu throughout the day. Breakfast dishes were available in the morning, while lunch featured options like pasta and burgers. Dinner brought a selection of full plates, making it a spot where customers could find something suitable at any time.

In the evenings, Z-One transformed into a lounge. The venue hosted drinks and occasional events, allowing it to serve as both a casual eatery and a gathering place for nightlife.

Owner Steve Osman confirmed the decision to close, explaining that increased rent costs made it unsustainable to continue operating. For years, Z-One balanced its identity as a neighborhood diner with the atmosphere of a modern lounge, attracting a diverse group of patrons.

The closure of Z-One marks the end of a long chapter for a restaurant that aimed to offer a flexible dining and social experience on Staten Island.
