"I remember a time when there were 3 different King's Chef restaurants. I would typically go to the one on Forest Ave. But New Dorp was the original. King's Chef is the quintessential chinese restaurant. It's dining room looks like something out of 1950's Hong Kong. The suited maitre d' greets and seats you. The food is great. It's what we American's have to come to love about the cuisine of the far East. You'll get all the typical dishes prepared very well. My favorite dish is one I can't seem to find anywhere else - Beef and Chicken Two Style. It's a dish of beef with a spicy brown sauce and chicken with the traditional white sauce on the same plate, separated by orange slices. Two great flavors in one dish. It's mandatory that I get this when I'm at King's Chef. Look, you'll get cheaper chinese on the Island, but you'll get good food at King's Chef."
