"I have ordered from the Halal Cart on New Dorp Lane and Hylan Blvd corner. I was always suspicious the food was not of good quality and today proven correct. My wife is 7 months pregnant and she was in the mood for Halal food. I ordered Falafel and rice and the food just came in with bad taste. The rice looked old (72 degrees today) and the Falafel seems smelly and overcooked. After eating the food my wife got food poisoning. This place should be shut down!! Period!! Be honest and don't make people sick!!! Stay away from this place unless you want food poisoning."

"This place is delicious.
Quick, easy, yummy, cheap - it's great.
I get chicken over rice with no salad and a little white sauce for $5 and the chefowner is very friendly.
He has made fresh chicken on occasion when he looked over and decided it wasn't "Fresh Enough".
It's a food cart, not a gourmet restaurant, but for a food cart, it rocks.
PS - The one on Hylan & Ebbitts is not the same people, and is not as good quality. Some people say they're the same but they're not. Different chefsowners, different tasting food."

"I rescind a previous review. I wanted to love this cart, as it is the only one in my neighborhood, but the quality of the food is the worst out of any and the many Halal carts I have tried throughout NYC. The lamb tastes like burnt rat, the chicken is either boney or fatty rubber, the rice is flavorless, and literally the only redeeming factor is the hot sauce.
I tried coming here multiple times hoping it was a bad night, but the quality of meat they server at this particular cart is very sub-par."

"Foodking have you ever eaten at a Halal style street cart before Their quality of food is no different then what you would find at any street cart in Manhattan. Which means that yes, its not the most top-shelf meat you'll ever find, but you will get heaping mounds of it, cover it with that white and amazing hot sauce love carts that actually have a SPICY hot sauce, and devour it when you are looking for a cheap, enormous meal. It's an honor to have one in our neighborhood, finally, and I'm glad it survived that car accident that initially almost set it ablaze."
