"I do not understand the great reviews the King Buffet is getting here! My husband and I ate here twice, and both times, we both ended up with food poisoning. The only reason why we went the second time is because it was a few years after we ate there the first time, and we had forgotten that we had eaten there before. But the minute we got home and started having stomach issues the second time, we remembered that we had gotten sick from the food there before. Probably because these 2 times were the only times either one of us had ever had food poisoning in our lives. I would never, ever eat there again."

"In culinary school, we were taught that the buffet is the bottom of the ladder when it comes to food quality, as it's usually all about quantity and variety. When you think of a buffet, do you think of "fine dining" Is it typically an anniversary destination
So then why are people reviewing King Buffet as if it were Jean Georges It's a buffet! When reviewing and rating a buffet, here's what I look for
Does it have a large variety of food King Buffet does.
Is the food replenished shortly after being emptied King Buffet does.
Is the restaurant busy This is a sign that the food will not be sitting around all day. King Buffet typically is busy during the peak hours.
Is it clean A buffet is hard to keep clean. You have patrons running around with food. People are always spilling rice in the high traffic areas. It happens. But importantly, are the food areas clean The steam tables King Buffet does a good job of keeping the steam tray areas clean.
Now, would I eat sushi at a buffet Personally, no. I just don't trust raw fish bought at "buffet standards."
So, according to the criteria, King Buffet is a good buffet restaurant. If you're looking to eat massive portions at a set price, go to town. It serves it's purpose."

"We've been coming here for years and loving it!!
Either for dinner or lunch, the food is fresh; food selections vary from day to day and even as we sit!! Fantastic variety of appetizers, main dishes, hot foods and cold salads and desserts.
Even dishes are included that are not specifically Asian such as pasta, chicken nuggets, fish, steak, chicken, onion rings, salads are included!! Many unusual dishes that we would not usually try at "a-la-carte" restaurants were very delicious and added to the experience.
We and our guests are always "wowed" by the size and quality of the buffet. The sush bar is a great addition. The mongolian grill was not necessary.
The staff is always great in keeping the buffet maintained well-stocked and clean; finished dishes are promptly removed from the tables.
We see many small parties at the restaurant and everyone seems to be having a good time!!"

"On the few occasions that my boyfriend and I have gone there, we have enjoyed it. They have a very large selection of food and I love the sushi bar. The sushi is fresh, and you can watch the Sushi Chef as he continuously prepares sushi throughout the day.
I like that on the times we have gone, that the food is not the same every time. Which has upset me at other buffets in the past.
I disagree with the other posts that the food is tasteless or overcooked. They have a pork roast that is so juicy and delicous, and pork is not easy to keep that way on a buffet. Also, I don't agree with the posts that say it's "dirty". I have worked in restaurants for years, and find this place to be kept up quite well. The staff is continuosly cleaning the buffet, tables and make sure the restrooms are neat and clean."

"My wife and I tried King Buffet the other night and we were quite disappointed. The selection is pretty limited and the food just doesn't really taste that good. The place also just didn't seem that clean. They get 3 stars instead of 1 because they had snow crab legs which were also kind of disappointing and because it's been 2 days since we ate there and neither of us got sick. The staff was friendly enough, too.
I usually prefer to go somewhere at least twice before writing a review, but I doubt that I will ever return to this place. It's too bad because I really wanted to like this place."

"The food is very good in this buffet. They have many options for seafood fans including crabs, shrimp and fish. During dinner time they continuously make fresh sushi. I'm not usually a fan of all you can eat buffet's enjoy being served but when I do go it is to King Buffet. They offer much better quality, value, taste and freshness than the one on hylan blvd.."
