I went to his previous French Tart in New Dorp and his Bay St. one. This French Tart had a lot more traditional French food, so the menu was more exciting for me. I went here with my mom last night. It was great! Pricey, but great. We drank the pomegranate cider. I'm not one for cider so I didn't love it, but my mom did. The bread was airy and light, and the butter (which is homemade, along with everything else) was a hit. She had a cheese platter. The cheese was savory and there was great variety. The strawberry jam was a good balance. I had the goat cheese salad. Goat cheese is a favorite of mine to begin with, but the salad with the ginger dressing (that the owner and chef's previous restaurant also served) was, again, a good balance. Quite enjoyable. Then we shared the Dijon filet mignon. Juicy. For dessert we had a blueberry tart. Not fantastic. But pleasant nonetheless. Plan on going again soon! Next time I want to go crazy and get snails.

I ate at his restaurant when it was on Bay Street and I think he is the best chef on the Island. The food was so great and the flavors of everything were wonderful. I will be sure to go to his new place. Excellent, excellent food!!!!
