"The phone people are disrespectful, impatient and nasty when u ask them to slow down. The food is great when they get it right, which they don't almost every time. When you call to complain, it's your fault. To bad I can't post pictures. The vibe is-"The more you order, the worse. We'll treat you".Stay away."

"Just awful.  As you know Zee Bagels has been in business for a very long time and it has the loyalty and respect of it's customers. That said, it saddens me to report that in addition to being intolerant to its customer's food restrictions, the staff is also rude and highly inappropriate. I have a gluten allergy. However, I am not Celiac. I able able to eat in regular restaurants with caution as I am not sensitive to cross contamination. A few months ago, I had purchased some tuna from Zee Bagels and I really liked it. So, last week, on my way to work, I came in to get some more of that tuna. Given that it has been a few months since my last visit, I could not recall the name of the tuna I had purchased. So, I have asked one of the staff members to please tell me the name of the tuna fish salad that did not contain bread crumbs. I don't know why the question has created so much confusion. However, I was finally informed that they were currently out of that tuna and needed to make some more. So, I came back the following week and once again inquired the tuna without breadcrumbs. The reaction that I have received from one of the staff, was shocking and deeply inappropriate. After he rolled his eyes at me multiple times and attempted to ignore me, he then very aggressively accused me of annoying him. Then he proceeded to tell me that I come to this store weekly ordering sandwiches, while asking him the same questions over and over again. In response, I politely corrected him and noted that he is mistaken. I do not come to this bagel store weekly nor do I order sandwiches, as I can not inject gluten. Furthermore, I clarified that all I want is the tuna without breadcrumbs. After that, with much annoyance, he showed me 3 types of tuna: Italian, Mexican, and plain. I asked him to give me a small container of plain tuna. Now comes the shocking part. He rolled his eye at me once again and placed all 3 containers with tuna back behind the glass while verbalizing, "Oh no!" At first, I was confused. So, I asked, "what do you mean, oh no?" Then, I attempted to proceed with my original request for a small container of plain tuna. However, again, my request was denied, as he refused to serve me. Instead, he kept repeated himself by saying that I come to the bagel shop every week asking the same questions and ordering sandwiches. Now, I felt angry. Not only was he refusing to serve me but he was also harassing me. Finally, I demanded to speak to the owner. He refused to grant me that request as well. Then, out of nowhere, one of the customers, who had absolutely no background knowledge about the situation, inserted herself into our conversation and caused a major scene. This led to a heated interaction between multiple people. Unfortunately, this store drama was caused by a staff member who have instigated the situation by behaving unprofessionally.  NOTE TO OWNER : What has happened to me is absolutely unacceptable by any measure. Although your business is flourishing, at the moment, try to remember that your biggest asset is your customer. Also, keep in mind that this is a small world and an even smaller community. The kind of interactions with your customers will bring your business downs. Given the above, I urge you to rectify this situation appropriately and not condemn this behavior. Perhaps, you need to train and update your staff in appropriate ways of customer service. Finally, an apology would also be appropriate given what has transpired."
