"Okay, i have been to this restaurant only a handful of times, and, to be perfectly frank, i really did not want to like it. I was sincerely hoping the food was terrible. Lo and Behold, i was dead wrong. The restaurant served big saervings of food that i was seriously unable to eat due to their massive sizes."

"We went here because my wife and some of her colleagues said it was a wonderful experience. Yesterday we went back with my family and the experience was anything but wonderful. To start out with we were greeted by some surly individual whose only words to us were "how many?" No "welcome to Portobello" or any other friendly gesture. Once we were seated the sound of screaming children was enough to want to make me leave immediately. By the time the waiter came to take our drink order the attitude continued. We don't drink alchohol and were made to feel second class. When the waiter returned to take our food order there was no mention that everything is a la carte. No salad, nothing. I ordered the Calamari Fra Diavolo and asked if the calamari was fried. A curt 'no' was the answer. No mention of how it was prepared. Just the entree and a basket of stale, lousy bread with diner quality melted butter. To his credit he did stop by once to ask if everything was OK. Three of them said the food was good. Mine sucked. The sauce was too heavy and the pasta was overcooked. The bill for three pasta dishes, one chicken dish, one desert and a diet coke was $107 dollars not including tip. We had gone there to mainly see about booking a party for my mother in law's 85th birthday. I think I'll be looking elsewhere."

"Delicious !!!!! The food is great for the price. I went there with other couples and we had the 2 for $75 combo, which includes an appetizer, main course, dessert, coffeeteacappacino and a bottle of their house wine. Their food is very good and it comes out piping hot. The attention of the staff is very personal and the attention of detail is very good. I've been here before actually its my 5th time and never did we leave and have a bad meal. This is why I wanted to leave my opinion. We've been here for the 2 for 1 price specials Monday to Thursdaycash only, the 2 for $75 specials and the regular menus. But let me tell you, I will never order from the regular menu again because we love the $75 deal. The $75 menu has a big selection and everything we like is on that one, plus you get the bottle of wine and desserts and coffee etc. Its a great deal and they don't skimp on their portions. Their portions are very generous some places skimp when it comes to specials, but not here. If you were thinking of trying Portobello's, definitely give it a shot, you won't be disappointed."

"I have been eating here for the past 6 years and it is always consistant. The food, service, and atmosphere are as perfect as it can get. If all that isn't enough, Monday - Thursday's you can BOGO on Entree's from a wonderful array of choices. Can't beat it!"

"Portobello is a great restaurant for those budget friendly nights. 2 for 1 is what this place is about and seems they introduced it and made it work. Two people can eat dinner with tax and tip and leave spending around $25."

"If you are looking for a tiny piece of fish with your rissoto for the salmon entree then this place is five stars. $23, yes its on the buy 1 get 1, but between the gimmicks of buying an overpriced appetizer brings the total to close to $40 and the dishes primary based on rice or starch it has very little value. On another note the little salmon that we did have it was very bland and dry. 2 stars for the effort, it wasnt horrible, the rissoto was pretty good but we wouldnt order from here again at least not from the two for one. - the review is for a delivery as it seems there is no requirement to purchase appetizer for dine in."

"Portobello is a very good restaurant. The food taste's good. The staff is very friendly and they are very accommodating to people with food allergies. I also like when they have the two for one dinner specials and the lunch specials are good as well."
