"They set the standards high for other Staten Island restaurants. Everything from the decor to the portions of food they serve is top notch. Let me begin the review by saying it is busy almost any night of the week but you will feel welcomed waiting because the bar area upon entrance is full of life, great prices and great beer on top. Decorations, you will feel you are in an authentic German restaurant in Germany, waitresses are dressed to fit the style of the restaurant and all decorations around it just give it that feel. Food prices and portions are all family style. The Forest Mushroom mix appetizer is HUGE enough for 3 people with about half left over for take home and they taste wonderful, we have not tasted mushrooms this good ever before. A very wide selection of wursts, beef, pork, veal and various dinner specials are always available. Seafood is also on the menu. Nurnberger is highly impressive, we spent $110 with Tax and Tip, Three Appetizers, Wurst Entree and a Veal Entree, A few beers on tap and we had enough to take home for lunch today and the food is still good."

"Nurnberger Bierhaus has great food, a fantastic beer selection, and a very friendly staff. I've been to Germany, and this place feels just like any decent restaurant/beer hall you would find in Munich. The "Game Sausage Sampler" appetizer is a must-eat whenever I come here and after many visits with friends and family, no one has ever been disappointed in their meal. Sometimes there is a long wait for a table, but it is worth it."
