"the worst attempt at cuban food on staten island. We ordered online and the food arrived quickly, but it was just nasty, the pernil tastes like if it was boilrd, asked for rice and beans to go with it, it was orange rice with veggies instead of white rice, the black beans had no flavor and were extremely liquity like it just came out of a can. Philly Cheese... Well a far cry from anything like ke a philly, it had yellow american cheese instead of the swiss which killed any other flavor in there, in addition to 1 inch sliced onions it had some seeded green peppers unsure of the kind but they were a bit hot, the meat was nicely thin but full of fat and silver skin, very lil eadible meat in it. Fries were soggy, plantains full of oil, and the yucca was the most nasty of all, it was not boiled it was almost pureed, insainly over cooked, black/gray off putting color with some colorless mile thick onions. The cuban sandwich was "ok" no mustard and the tasteless boiled "pernil" just a very sad attempt, nothing authentic about this food it was nasty, ugly looking, just not worth your money, after calling them to complaint the girl on the phone says -oh i can have my manager call u she is not here right now- its been 2 hrs since them im still waiting, the gorl didnt even attempt to offer to fix or change anything for us."

"The absolute worst customer service I've ever received. This is the second time I have ordered from this place and it iwll certainly be the last. The first time I had to cancel my order with them because it had been 3 HOURS and the food hadn't arrived. To add insult to injury I called 3 times one at each hour mark and they lied to me each time saying its on its way. This time they shorted me an item, and when I called them to confront them they said that it was a system glitch online and that I hadn't actually paid for the item. Even though on my receipt it showed that I HAD paid for it and the final balance reflected it as well.... All they could say is that they are working on fixing the bug on their menu online...... I wish I could give this place 0 stars.... An absolute waste of time. Take your hard earned money somewhere they ACTUALLY want your business..."

"Where I work we have order numerous times for a few weeks now, we cant help it we are obsessed! The food is so good, not one complaint. Sometimes your order from a place and its not as good as it was the last time, well this is not the case with Lucy's. Each time is better then the last! Plus ordering online is extremely helpful when the phones here are busy. Thank you guys!"

"Finally a real Cuban restaurant on Staten Island. Ropa Vieja as authentic as it comes. Awesome Pernil Roast Pork, rice and beans and sweet plantains. Big portions and extremely reasonably priced. I am definitely going to become a regular."
