"Where to start... This is strictly based on a private party I was planning. I never got to actually HAVE THE PARTY though. "Great service". In DECEMBER I paid a deposit and went over all the details of the party I am planning for April. After, I hired a dj/additional vendors, and ordered custom invites. Last Tuesday I was getting ready to mail all of the invites, and on a whim, emailed Sera to confirm everything. Even though a deposit, I THOUGHT, was a confirmation. I didn't hear back from her. So I re-emailed her Friday morning. Nothing. Friday night, I was irritated. I called, and she said, "everything should be fine, I'll let you know". Should be? Let me know?? You have my money. Not the answer I was looking for. So...today I drove to Levant during their business hours, from Staten Island. And..they..were closed. Sign on the door said to come back at 6. I did. Only they were still closed. I stood outside in the rain/snow until Sera and her husband noticed me outside. After speaking with her husband, who initially told me everything was fine, Sera came out and said that the party was probably off and that she couldn't guarantee it. I suppose I appreciate her honesty. She offered an alternative, which I wasn't interested in, and the ONLY positive thing I can say is that I received my deposit back. I recognize that she feels bad, but I feel worse, and now I have to start all over with finding a place that meets my requirements, REPRINT NEW INVITES, and notify my vendors. Make your own decisions about this place, but you've been warned."
