"As I said in previous reviews I really enjoy a good gyro so I'm always looking for a new place to try. I've been wanting to try Sahara X-press for some time and finally did so this weekend. I was feeling hungry so I ordered a lamb gyro, a chicken gyro, and a falafel, all sandwiches on pita. A telephone order for delivery was placed at 5 PM on Saturday, and was taken by a very pleasant gentlemen. The food arrived between 45 and 55 minutes later, not bad considering that the restaurant is not very close to me, and was delivered by a very cheerful and smiling driver. The lamb and chicken gyros were on round loaves of soft pita folded over them, while the falafel was placed inside of a pocket pita. White sauce and a red hot sauce were supplied on the side in small containers. Both gyros were delicious, tender, well seasoned and very well filled with meat and topped with salad. The chicken was succulent and not dried out as it often is in a gyro. The falafel sandwich, too, had a generous amount of the falafel as well as salad. I would have liked a bit more garlic in the fried falafel, but it was still very good and a touch of the included hot sauce perked it up quite nicely. The portions were large and, I must admit that I couldn't quite finish everything, but at least I got to try a variety of items. I would definitely order from here again, and I'm looking forward to trying some of the other choices on their menu."

"I am very impressed with this place, very small but very welcoming owners and staff. My gyro was amazing. mind you, they just started off so can you imagine how well they will be in a few months when business starts to flourish. Keep up the good job and please dont turn into a "Seaside MESS" out of control, messing up orders, over priced food"

"this place has really authentic mediterranean cuisine at a very reasonable price. i tried sheesh kebabs, hummus, falafels, lamb gyros and salads and all of them were simply delicious. i even got a chance to talk with the chef who is from Turkey and knows the art of mediterranean cooking. To top it all, turkish coffee and kahva/tea with the desserts were perfect. the environment inside the place was also very congenial and friendly. the food was cooked fresh and served rather quickly."

"I had my eye on this place since it was being constructed. I waited a few weeks to give them some time to work out their kinks. We ordered a lamb Gyro which was excellent, Falafel sandwich the freshest and fluffiest I ever had babaganoush not the best I ever had, but up there with the best, and grape leaves. The owner and staff are extremely friendly. Just what we needed on this side of the island. I will be going back soon!"

"This place was really good, had a lamb gyro yesterday and it was delicious. The salad bar is setup cleaner than Sahara in Brooklyn. Really glad to have this place around and nice to hear they are open until 2AM every day."

"Sahara Express is not the same, it's located in the Indian restaurant and the food is terrible. They blocked off the parking in the front. I will never return not recommend."
