The Unicorn Diner (as we have all known it for about 25 years, not Mike's Unicorn) is a mythical creature indeed. It might win the "Worst Diner on Staten Island" award, which is a feat considering the number of diners on Staten Island. I'm just going to list off some things which disappoint me.
- It's not clean. Like I have reservations about eating there.
- The staffmembers are friendly, but I question their self esteem as they work at THE UNICORN DINER.
- The food is overpriced. Seriously, compare the menu to other diners, item for item.
- The overpriced food is not very good. The fries were cold; I feel as though my food sat under a heat lamp for 30 minutes before I ate it.
The parking is good, but I always feel like I'm gonna get plowed into when exiting onto Victory.
I feel like they took 100 steps backwards. Hey, at least high school kids will go there to hang out at 2AM.
If you're looking for a diner in that area, bypass The Unicorn or Z-One. Go to either the New Dakota Diner on Forest and Richmond, or The Golden Dove on Amboy and Richmond.

Have been going with my family for many years and was very disappointed on my last two visits. Burger ordered medium was very well done and like a dried out hockey puck. Last night I ordered a souvlaki sandwich and got fat chunks of meat instead of thin slices, and there was no feta, olives or cucumber chunks, just some iceberg and pink tomato. I might have said something, but the waiter never even asked how our food was or if he could get us anything else. I guess the customer is paying for the renovations in lower quality of food and service. Too bad, this was a favorite for a long time.

I ordered breakfast at 10:43 am and it was here at 12:23 , They even forgot a whole dish i ordered !!!!!! Horrible never Again!

Typical diner... Went to use the coupon from where you eat.com and they told me I can't use this here but this time it's ok... (she was giving the vibe that I faked it or something) really put a bad taste in my mouth ... O well just won't go back...And yea the coupon states all Mikes diners...

Menu here is outdated ......was charged $25 for a grilled chicken wrap & a Cesar salad (which They forgot to put the dressing with it) ...called to ask why? Manager said that the prices changed & I have to just deal with it......but he would put my dressing on the side so my husband could come pick it up....than offered desserts ( idiot I just ordered a salad & grilled chicken, why the hell would I want any of your dried out desserts anyways) .... I am a manager of a restaurant as well & never in my day would I find my self saying such retarded shit to someone after that just paid $25 for a salad & a wrap......

the food was bad, service was aweful, the place was dirty......just because you fix up the outside and redo the inside you should work on hiring people who know how to serve people.

The menu that is posted here is outdated. The prices are very high. The attitude of staff needs adjustment. poor customer service
