I had a dinner party at puglia this past weekend it was suppose to be at another restaurant last minute we had to change plans a freind of my suggested puglia. Let me tell you that it was a wonderful experience from the food to the staff and manangment. I highly reccomend puglia!

I went to Puglia of hester st. saturday evening it was my first time. I have a freind who eats there all the time, she is always talking about the house calamari. Well let me tell you that it is out of this world. I loved it.
we also had the stuffed pork chop it was by far the best I ever had and I dont even like spinach i just pushed it to the side Iam glad i didnt know it because i would not have orderd it. I cant wait to go back.

I am so happy i went to puglia we were a party of 6 everyone of us enjoyed everything we ate. the house calamari was out of this world, the smoked mozzarella francese somthing you must try there was nothing to complain about what a great restaurant from the staff to managment . ionly wish they open one in brooklyn.

if you want to have a wonderful meal go to puglia of hester st. i ate there 3 times each one was better then the next. nothing to complaine about

i went there because of all the good revews on this site. i loved everything about puglia the food was wonderfull,service was great the staff is on top of things and management makes you feel so warm now i know what all the talk is about. anyone who complains must be very hard to please. you could see they have alot of regulars.well they can espect to see me often.

saturday was my second time at puglia the food was wonderful the service was great. i really had a great time there. this is a place that makes you want to go back

I have only been here once, but it was a very good experience... The food was delicious. I think its the best italian cuisine i've even had.

The previous review must be some sort of a prank! The place is absolutely fantastic, everything about the food, presentation, service and atmosphere was just right.
The atmosphere was very casual, laid back but still gave the off the feeling of upper-casual feel. Great views of everything including the inside kitchen, watch the chefs cook as well as enjoyment of outside views.
The service was top notch and just on point, everything from when we arrived, to when we were seated, glasses filled with water and presented with the menus was very professional. We even enjoyed a free glass of wine for each person at the table.
The food was presented really well. This includes the appetizers, entree's and dessert. We all shared appetizers and got different kind of dinners and pastas, everyone left Puglia's in shock that a restaurant of this nature exists on Staten Island.
When we got the check we all made a statement of how cheap it was for what we just had. The bill was $92, included 3 entree plates, 1 pasta, 2 appetizers, and a total of 6 glasses of wine (4 were free) and 2 sodas.
FOUR People for a total of $120 with Tax & Tip, delicious food, very well presentation is not expensive.

Food is so-so, definitely not worth the prices. Go to Lentos on New Dorp Lane...food is excellent and prices are fantastic.

Just Wow! Came out last night to have dinner and have never left a restaurant so much impressed. The menu is good and some of our friends got items straight from the menu such as Penne Vodka, Chicken Marsala and Shrimp with linguine.
They also had 'Daily Special' items which I ordered Chilean Seabass with Mussels & Clams over Linguine. This was honestly one of the most impressive and delicious plates I have tasted (so far). I am not a huge fan of 'Italian' Cuisine and very rarely do go to Italian Restaurants, but out of the few times I went, Puglia was the best in all aspects including Presentation, Service and Definitely Taste!
The appetizer also nothing to overlook; we had the Hot Antipasti which came (2 Clams, 2 Shrimp, 2 Stuffed Mushroom and 2 Eggplant Roulatini). You can taste the freshness of the eggplant, just delicious. Everyone at the table was very satisfied and able to agree that it was one of their favorite (Italian) restaurants.
Before I forget: Even the location is beautiful, Last night it was snowing a bit and sitting next to the large windows watching the snow fall was very therapeutic.

Love this place.. Such a great atmosphere and the food is always on point. As far as staten island restaurants go I'm not a huge fan but puglia's is a mind changer. Order the arugala pie for something light and fresh you won't be disappointed. I only wish they delivered!!

Have been there 2 times recently. !st time ordered a bottle of Prosecco off the wine menu, waiter came back and said we have not had that in a long time, ordered a second bottle which of course they did not have either. Off to a bad start, but then tried their fried zucchini followed by a riceball special as appy's and then eggplant rollatini and the wife had a chicken and shrimp special, not bad at all, followed by a very nice cannolli. a LITTLE OVERPRICED,and there is no need for a singer on Saturday night as the place is too small and the acoustics are terrible.

We wanted to try Puglio's of Staten Island - however, when we stood to the right of the bar to order a cocktail while waiting for a table - the Bartender yelled from the other end to please move as that box was there for a reason - box meaning the "Toys for Tots Box". He didn't want us to stand in front of it! There was plenty of room for several people to stand there and who in the world is bringing in Toys for Tots on a Saturday evening @ 8pm? And if someone did I'm sure they would ask where do they place their gifts for this organization? This bartender had no courtesy or professionalism for a restaurant - therefore, I looked at my husband and said - let's leave - this is definitely a classless establishmemt - so the bartender lost a $15 tip and the table would have lost a $30 tip also. We proceeded to go to Manhttantan which is where we usually dine out. I heard the food is lousy in Pugio's and the service of this restaurant is also are lousy from what I encountered tonight - good luck.

Went here for our anniversary dinner and had an enjoyable time. The food was really very good and the service was friendly, courteous and very attentive.Hot Antipasto was so delicious, especailly the eggplant & stuffed mushroom. Will definitely be going back!

I love this restaurant and dine there once or twice a week. The owners and staff are lovely and the food is delicious. I enjoy it each and every time.
