I first discovered Mezcal's when I lived in Park Slope, as there was a sister restaurant on 5th Avenue. This Mezcal's has all the same GREAT food.
A throwback to earlier times in Mexico, Mezcal's is a gem hidden inside a strip mall steps from Bradley and Victory. You wouldn't think much of it, looking from the outside, but within are treasures you can't readily find on the island or elsewhere outside of Mexico.
The chips and salsa are homemade and amazing. We usually get a flameado for the table (Melted cheese with poblanos and chorizo!) I would almost exclusively get the enchiladas zuisas (i love tomatillo) or some combination of a taco with an enchilada.
If you're gonna eat here, I might suggest a designated driver or public transportation. The sangria and margaritas are amazing and the parking is kinda disasterous.

Sure the parking sucks, but once inside the inconvenience is well worth it. Great, fresh, authentic Mexican food. A menu with a wide variety of dishes and the sangria and margaritas are excellent. We love Mezcals

Flawless house salsa and the Nacho Chips are always fresh and hot.
Pepper-heads order up the Moritas for an appetizer,
Moises must have a special connection for the hottest most flavorful Jalapenos on the island.
The Chinameca Fajita cant be beat, traditional or not!!
The Marimba seafood enchilada has never failed us as well.
Excellent tequila selection and the house Sangria is flavorful and packed with fresh fruit.

THE VERY BEST MEXICAN RESTAURANT WE HAVE EVER EATEN IN!! We have visited many locations of Mezcal's and the food, atmosphere, and service have always been the best. This is our favorite place to eat!!!!!!!

food is amazing when busy the staff is very slow, parking is terrible. if you have to wait you will wait for a very long time, worth the wait i come once aweek

Great food, cant beat the prices, great drinks too. A little small, but homey. Mezcal`s is the real things with the way their flavors and spices go together!
