I ordered Gustos last night for the first time. The food was amazing. Best stuffed artichoke I have ever eaten. This restaurant is a hidden treasure!! Will definitely be back.

I went to Gusto with 3 friends on Saturday Night. It was far from busy. I ordered as Mahi Mahi Special which was really good. I dont know why it wasn't crowded. Good Music too with Joe Scarangello (he gave us a CD)

Parking is horrendous! When we entered and waited a bit, one of the servers asked "can I help you with something?" Why did he think we were there? Decor is drab! My husband's food was cold and mine was warm at best. Not worth the trip!

i disagree the place is so different than when it was Buona Pasta. They still have weekday specials, which are very good, but so does every restaurant. The weekend mensu's always nice and I like the live entertainment. People need to get beyond the old name and try it. The staff is hard working and food is better than most expect when entering. Comparing to the filthy Benvuntti is not even close, nor the dump Mcginns. Gusto is place where my husband and I can eat in affordable luxury.

It appears that this is the same restaurant as Buona Pasta. Why the name change? Nice enough staff. So-so food. Parking is a disaster. Good enough place to go in a pinch. There has to be a reason that the place is never filled to capacity. After all--La Candela, Lucky Fortune, Benvenuti, and even Mcginn's seems to have a better crowd. It can't just be the parking.

Love Gusto!!!!!! It's a great place to bring a crowd as it's very affordable (weekday specials menu) and it's good food!
We go there at least once a week. They make me feel at home with my friends and family.

After I got admitted as an attorney, we decided to have dinner before driving my grandma to her home in Staten Island. Since we had previously celebrated Grandma's 80th birthday there, we figured why not go back there again. We chose wisely. When we arrived at around 5:30, we were the only patrons there. The waiter, not surprisingly, immediately greeted us and took our drink orders. The menu had a nice variety of Italian food. I like the fact that Gusto offers a special menu where one can order an appetizer, salad, entree and dessert for either $20 or $21, respectively. It comes withj a nice free bottle of wine too So, I ordered the eggplant rollatini, salad, chicken marsala and tortoni. The appetizer and entree were well-portioned and delicious. And, the rest of my family really enjoyed their dishes, which included, fried zucchini, veal, and pasta. We all ended up asking the waiter to package our respective meals since there was so much food. Overall, if one either lives on Strong Island or one happens to find oneself in SI, I strongly recommend dining at Nino's. The atmosphere is serene (including the Boccelli music that was played in the background)I, the waiter service was on-point, and the food is excellent. I doubt you'll think that you chose poorly

have been to Gusto's many times and I have never been disappointed. It's one of the best authentic Italian restaurants in Staten Island with great service and reasonable prices. I really enjoy their appetizers especially the baked clams and the portobello mushrooms. As for dinner you must try the Broinzino or the seafood fra diavalo...It's Awesome.

Dungeon-esque decor and dreadful food. Carabba's or Olive Garden would be an upgrade. Your money spends everywhere---don't spend it here.

I took my wife and 2 kids there on Ash Wednesday. We had been there when it was Buona Pasta, and when were walked in were greated by the owner and seated. The waitress Debra, was very attentive. The kids ate for free and we had a Dinner Specials. The bill w abotttle of Merlot was just $52. We will go back. They even have special menus

Went Saturday, a nice crowd. Food came out after a short wait. The music was very nice, a duo called perfectly frank. i ate the veal osso boco, very good. hubby had a steak special, it was good. he likes it a bit pinker. apperizers were very nice, we split a shrimp portabella, which was amazing. i saw a stuffed artichoke for another table, will order that next time. a place to go and bring friends to! no rush and fun atmosphere. priced fairly louise pratt

My experience at thisnew place is mixed, the food and service was very good. we ate a special, there is a large choice, and received free wine. my only complaint was the parking lot is very difficult art times. There is a Municipal across the steet. I guess it's better than parking and walking like we have to do to get to Portabello or other places on Hylan. Desserts were good. Price was definitely right. We will return soon with friends. Upset that they didnt honor a 2 for 1 dinner. it ends at 6 and we were seated by 6:15.

I'm reading the reviews below and find it hard to understand how all of you are saying the food was COLD!!!! I ate there recently and my stuffed artichoke was so HOT I burnt my tongue...my waitress was so nice and attentive which these days was refreshing and the Filet o sole was to die for...the wine selections were good and my girlfriend had a drink from the list called a Staten Islander that was so delicious and served in a BIG glass I had to get one. I left Gusto full, content but most of all my bill didn't break the bank.....

The food here is fantastic. I have eaten here several times with several different people all ordering different dishes, and no one has ever been disappointed. I do not live in the neighborhood, but when I want some good real Italian food, this is the only place on Staten Island that I will go. The staff is also very friendly and helpful with recommendations. Although recommendations are almost about the daiky specials. i hear there is entertainment on weekends
will try it then too

I came to Gusto with a group of friends for some drinks and apps. We were supposed to have gotten a reserved seating area, but our "spot" was taken by the karaoke lounge singer (he was awful and way too loud). They made room for us at the bar, set a small table in the corner and brought us a wide variety of apps. None of the fried foods were greasy, the tomato sauce served with the mozzerella en carozza was delicious. They kept the food coming, and the proprietors were very attentive. The bartender kept the glasses consistently full. I'll give this place a try for dinner one night very soon.
